You can send text message assignment notifications to all stakeholders directly from Bridgit Bench. In this view, you'll see a column called Communication Status that will let you know which labor requests have been contacted via text message. In our example below, no one has yet been notified.
Under the Assignments tab, select the request you would like to initiate communication with.
In this example, we'll select the first request that shows. This request was created by Keri Golden (the requester) and assigned to Benjamin Gonzalez. Let's click on the Notify button to initiate an SMS text message to Benjamin's cellphone.
The Notify via text (SMS) window will pop up. The standard text will pre-populate (with general details about the assignment). You may add your own custom text under the corresponding text box - Let's inform Benjamin about the parking situation:
As soon as you click Send, an SMS text message will be sent to the assignee's cellphone number on file.
Here's an example of what that will look like with our additional custom comment:
The text message will be from a static no-reply phone number. If the assignee has any questions, they can reach out directly to the requester whose phone number is provided in the message as well.
Once communication has been established, the status updates under the Communication Status column to reflect this. A timestamp will display for when the text message was sent:
