Phases are an optional feature in Bridgit Bench that outlines different stages of a construction project. Phases can also be used if a job is paused while construction is underway. Bridgit Bench allows sub-phases under a parent phase.
General Overview:
- Phases are created by Administrators
- Phases are added to a project by Administrators or Full Contributors
- An account can have up to 20 phases
- A phase can have up to 20 sub-phases
Creating Phases on Accounts
- Open the Account Settings by clicking on the gear icon
- Click Projects
- Click the Phases tab
- Click + to add a phase, which will open a new draft phase
- Enter a Title
- Phases can be automatically added to new projects by checking the checkbox for Automatically add phase to new projects.
- Click Save Phase to create or Cancel to withdraw.
- Once the phase is created, the ordering can be adjusted accordingly.
Adding Sub-Phases
- While in Settings > Phases, select the required phase.
- Click + Add sub-phase, which will open a draft sub-phase
- Enter a Title
- Click Save Phase to create or Cancel to withdraw.
- Once the phase is created, the ordering can be adjusted accordingly.
Deleting Phases
- While in Settings > Phases, select the phase to delete.
- An additional selection will have to be made if you are deleting a sub-phase
- Click Delete Phase or Delete Sub-Phase depending on your action.
- A confirmation message will appear if a phase is associated with a project.
- No confirmation message will appear if the phase is not associated with a project.
- A confirmation message will appear if a phase is associated with a project.
