The People section delivers a complete view of all the people in your organization and allows you to effectively manage your team and resources across all your projects at any stage.
From here, you can track your resources to optimize utilization, assign the best people based on accurate availability and shifting demands.
People > List
You can utilize the following tools to further filter what is displayed:
Columns in the List view can be re-ordered by dragging and dropping them to the desired locations.
Issues with Allocation
Issues are highlighted with an orange circle to point out any over-allocated resources. You can select the person that is highlighted to view and rectify any over-allocation under the Issues tab.
People > Gantt
Gantt Settings is a panel that can be found on the far right of the People Gantt. Here you'll find Time Interval and the following quick filter buttons are also available:
- Has availability
- Has allocation issues
Time Intervals include 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months.
Click on any blue or orange allocation bar to see what projects that person is on during the specified period.
Alternatively, with the Gantt Settings, there are three options for displaying data: Project & Utilization, Project, or Utilization.
- Project shows all the projects a person is on and how they're allocated
- Utilization displays how a person is allocated
Project Color Options allow users to choose how project colors are presented.
- Full color: project bars will appear in the color assigned to the project
- Lite color: project bars will be white with the project color as the bar outline
You can also hide profile pictures and/or titles on the People Gantt. This allows you to customize the People Gantt's appearance while displaying more data.
Any sort order set on the People List will persist to the People Gantt. However, you can also sort directly on the People Gantt by Name, Title, and Next Availability clicking on the Sort By dropdown.
You can search for any field associated with a person, including their Title, using the Search bar.
The People Gantt can be filtered. Filters can be applied directly from the People Gantt, which can be done by selecting the People filters button.
Any filters applied on the People List view carry over to the Gantt view.
Filters can be cleared by clicking the X on the filter chips.
Under the Name and Title column, you can also filter by Title by clicking on the title filter icon
Adding a New Person
The Add a Person icon in the bottom right will allow you to add a new person to your organization. Required fields are denoted with an asterisk (*).
A photo can be uploaded in the New Person window by clicking the + field or with a simple drag & drop.
- Photos must be .jpeg or .png formats
- Max file size: 10 MB
- Minimum pixel size: 180x180
- Maximum pixel size: 1500x1500
Once an image file has been selected, you can adjust and crop the picture into the desired position:
Click Save to confirm the changes.
Editing a Person
Click on any user to bring that person into context. From there you can edit any attribute as well as quickly view any scheduling issues that the person may have. You can also edit the person's Details and Contact info.
Clicking on any colored Project name tags will pull open that project in the project-centric view.
